Is it just me, or is it getting crazier out there?
My 2nd Joker. My first was ys few days ago in pastel. An amazing quote! Such a great movie. Go see..
Animal Farm
One of my favourite books which I read years ago. This is on the flip side to my Kes painting from yesterday. It’s still a very relevant book toContinue reading “Animal Farm”
Billy Casper
Following tonight’s doc on Kes by Greg Davis. Filmed in my hometown of Barnsley. A book that we studied in school that was filmed in the school next to ours.
Acrylic Rick & Morty Ply
My first attempt at using acrylic paint. Painted on a scrap of ply wood. The paint is s lot thicker than what I’m used to. Good fun though. Lots more learning to do with it.
Up in pastel smoke.
Cheech and Chong Up In Smoke.
Pastel Cobain
A lunch break Kurt Cobain caricature in his iconic sunglasses. I’ve always been a massive Nirvana fan. A sadly missed legend.
Willy Wonker
My attempt at Johnny Depp tonight in Charlie and the chocolate factory. My version seems creepier than Depp but I just went with the weird flow that I was feeling. In soft pastel on all media paper.
Put on a happy face

With lots of austerity hitting the most vulnerable in society, social services being cut, this hits on lots of issues that causes people toContinue reading “Put on a happy face”
Still Life Apple

I struggled using thick pastel sticks on this but persevered with some great results. My note pad doesn’t have much of a tooth on the paper but this did stick really well.Continue reading “Still Life Apple”
